STORY A DAY (Writing prompts, May 22- Time For Something Different)
Saira whispered something fishy to Lilly. The packed mathematics class did not notice the wicked plan, the girls discussed. Students were paying full concentration to Professor’s detailed lecture on Algebra. The girls, Saira and lilly, on the other side, were pretending to be physically present with absent minds. Algebra seemed to be a threatening monster that eats up intelligent minds avariciously. Girls assume that their tranquil minds, filled with extremely unique ideas, get swallowed then digested by that mosquito faced monster and how come they imagine a life, gets sucked with algebra, attacking monster. Lilly roared with a screeching voice, No! I can’t let my beautiful mind be trapped and hijacked by unidentified warriors of mathematics. As the time of execution strikes clock, Saira, with the help of chair, quickly lied on the floor without hurting herself and Lilly yelled shockingly(over reacted), “Saira is fainted! she needs to take medicines”. Before the Algebra Professor exchanges a reply, Lilly interrupted, “I will take her home to get rest”.
Girls with impish talents, heroically escaped from jealous creepy monster.
Taking YOU to my childhood, the time when children are energized, capable and loaded with creativity.
On the same day, 1st of April, I accompanied with my sister and friends, wandered in our neighbors and paste the poster, shown in the picture below.
Yes, we were hilarious kids! The time was fun. What we do was we waited for April fool day, make weird plans, spot the targeted family and decide the timings. On the day, we gathered in groups with our childish yet idiotic ideas that were overflowed in our little minds. We did not care about the hot sun that tanned our skin; we were highly focused on the execution of our plan. Our house was in a compressed narrow street which had all houses nearby with no distance between them. In the mid-afternoon, my friend took two posters with words “Sorry! For this April Fool, We are your nearest neighbors” written with a red marker and two empty boxes filled with garbage but wrapped in a cute gift paper. We kept the box on the front door and attached the poster with the box, rang bell and ran as fast as we could. We hide in our houses and secretly watched the scene behind the doors to see who opened the neighbor’s door and how he/she reacted. Then we celebrated a loud screaming noise of laughter in my house. AHH the time was ludicrous and it is inestimable. That time has no comparison.
Remember the good fun days which you enjoyed with your beloved one’s more often as time never come back but we can cherish the sweet, fantastic memories anytime.
And now, I don’t celebrate April’s Fool Day at all.
